A spokesperson for the Houston Police Department revealed new details to The Sun on Saturday as they investigate the February 25 shooting. A woman claimed rapper Snootie Wild pointed a gun at her before police found him shot on the side of the road. He and Yo Gotti are significant figures in the US rap scene. YO Gotti’s Yayo collaborator, Snootie Wild, was killed after he was shot once in the neck. Young Dolph told XXL that he had “no clue” who shot at him. He maintains his innocence, saying a van involved in the shooting, hired under his name, was stolen. He later taunted his attackers on Twitter, writing “u loose”, and performed at a club the same night.īlac Youngsta, a rapper signed to Yo Gotti’s label who has had his own feud with Dolph, was charged along with two others, and is currently released on bail.

Less than a week after the release of the video, more than 100 shots were fired at Young Dolph’s bulletproof SUV in an incident in Charlotte, North Carolina, leaving the rapper unharmed.

The rappers, both from Memphis, have a longstanding feud, apparently begun in 2014 after Dolph refused to sign to Gotti’s label amid jabs on Twitter, Dolph’s track Play Wit Yo Bitch explicitly attacked Gotti, including with a video cast using a Gotti lookalike. TMZ reported that police have named Gotti a “person of interest” after witnesses said he was involved. Police and media have reported that rapper Yo Gotti’s tour bus was sprayed with a fusillade of bullets while parked outside of his hotel in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, TMZ.
